class project. we were given 3 images from tatsuyuki tanaka's art book "cannabis works" and had to choose one to experiment with on scratchboard.
i used a fondu fork for this because it gave me the thinnest consistant line quality. my hand cramped up a lot but it was fun. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.  reports, 1d 21h agoThis newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. |

You have an interesting stile, I like to check out others in the scratchboard community to see how they are handling the medium and I must say that you are very good
Excellent use of light and shadow and the cross hatching effects you used give the picture a crisp three dimensional look ^_^
